The largest figure on the pampa is a pelican that runs roughly 285 metres from beak to tail. It shares the plain with more than 800 straight lines, some 300 geometric forms and around 70 animal and plant figures, scored into the Ica desert between about 500 BCE and 500 CE by the Paracas and Nazca cultures.
